I wish I was - been a long time since I've seen some good live music. It's 200 miles round trip, for me, though, so that's $40 in gas...a little steep for me right now

That would be a bit far. They play at Gruene Hall sometimes, which I think is closer.

The link in post #1 sounded kind of like zydeco. Is that their style?

They don't really have a set style. They mix several different styles like Zydeco, rock, country and bluegrass. You can listen to their new CD "Noble Creatures" here: thegourds.com/radio.html [thegourds.com/radio.html]

They are probably best known for their cover of Snoop's Gin and Juice
